Bunions are a deformity of the foot where the big toe connects to the joint. It can also occur on the little toe, have similiar symptons and is called a bunionette.
What is a Bunion?
The joint between the big or little toe and the foot called the MTP (metatarsophalangeal) will form a bony bump. This can cause pain and discomfort when pushing your toe into the others.
What causes Bunions on your foot?
Bunions can be commonly caused by wearing shoes that are too loose or too tight, stress, arthritis, form at birth or develop later in life from a heredity.
